My name is Maddie Shaudys. I am the breeder and founder of Aloha Dragons. I am based in SW Florida near Sanibel Island. My focus is to provide only the highest quality- healthy, vibrant, genetically correct and excellent structured bearded dragons.
My program consists of the following bearded dragon morphs: hypos, translucents, leatherbacks, and dunners. Tiger bearded dragons are highly favorited here, these bearded dragons display beautiful blue bars on their sides. I am currently working with red, orange, citrus, and rainbow tiger bearded dragons.

All bearded dragons are housed indoors and outdoors at my facility. Hatchlings, babies, and juveniles are raised indoors while adults are housed indoors and outdoors year round. Hatchlings are raised in hatchling racks of groups of 10-12. Every additional two weeks of age I separate the groups in half to prevent overcrowding. After 6 weeks of age they are transferred to indoor PVC 36”x24”x18” enclosures and/or glass/PVC 36”x18”x18” hybrid enclosures. Indoor sub adult and adult bearded dragons are housed individually in PVC 36”x24”x18” enclosures or females housed together in pairs of 2 per glass/PVC 48”x24”x18” hybrid enclosures. All indoor hatchling racks and enclosures are cleaned nightly before lights go off. Indoor dragon lighting schedule: 9am- 9pm lights on/ 9pm-9am lights off. Occasionally (once every 1-2 weeks) I will give the indoor dragons a day break from lights to allow a little extra cool off time period. I believe this benefits their overall health not keeping them on max temperatures 12 hours every day. Zoo med basking bulbs and t5ho UVB bulbs are provided in each indoor enclosure with appropriate wattage based on the size and height of the enclosure.
Adult bearded dragons that live outdoors here are housed in either 4’x4’x4’, 5’x4’x4’, or 6’x4’x4’ wood frame, pvc flooring with drainage, and pvc coated screen mesh siding. Daytime heat bulbs and night time heat emitters are provided inside each outdoor enclosure during winter when temperatures drop below 60 degrees at night. Naturally our outdoor sunlight is shortened this time of year with the direction our outdoor enclosures face allowing the dragons to brumate. Our enclosures sit a few feet off ground level due to our area flooding during larger rainstorms and hurricanes. Vinyl clear sheets are provided during colder temperatures and rain events. Solid PVC back panels are attached to the back PVC coated wire mesh screen walls to retain heat better inside during winter and taken off during summer to keep inside temperatures down and allow extra ventilation. A little rain is offered during summer rainy season. No rain during winter. Dragons are ok with rain during warm temperatures but not during cold.
